Description
Liberty Hall is once again a hub of entertainment in downtown Tyler, and resonates again, now with music, theater, comedy and classic films. This 1930s building has been rebuilt to become a centerpiece for the performing arts in the heart of Tyler's new Downtown Business, Arts and Culture District.
Tyler 1st calls for downtown Tyler to become an arts center for Tyler and indeed the whole of East Texas. One of the first actions taken to fulfill that vision was to lead an effort to renovate the former Liberty Theatre into a performance hall. Liberty Hall hosts a variety of performing arts events, and is open to the public for entertainment. Additionally the East Texas Symphony Orchestra holds some chamber performances at Liberty Hall, thus making the Hall a major anchor in the Tyler 1st plan for downtown Tyler.
